What a great cover! Very excited for this!
So anyone else wondering if this “black diamond” they mention will be related to Eclipso at all? (see Team 7 #2 solicit info, also out this week)
I’m pretty sure it is. He was in some other book recently – can’t remember which, though.
I hope this book is still great when the new writer comes along – I would say this has been my favorite “sleeper” book of the new 52.
I think the Black Diamond is in Jonah Hex and Justice League Dark as well.

Shocked? No. I was a little surprised that Editorial passed it, but logical from a storytelling perspective. And entertaining!!!
I’m very unhappy that yet another fine writer has chosen to down tools & work for other publishers, including Marvel, because they’re tired of dealing with DC’s micro-managerial editorial dept.
Paul is far too professional to even hint at “doing a Liefeld”, but the scuttlebutt over the past 7/8 months re : first ‘Stormwatch’ & later this title, has been too consistent.
Marvel have a pretty poor editorial record of their own, in talent-management terms.
To see yet another quality writer jump ship straight over to them, in spite of that track record, is worrying.
