While this book has a clever premise and an intriguing art style, know that it is much more of a police procedural (albeit a tongue-in-cheek one) than any story having much to do with books or library science, despite its setting. I work for a rare bookseller, so I bought it because of that angle, and was slightly disappointed. Still, I realize my motive for buying it was probably the exception rather than the rule! It’s an enjoyable read — just set your expectations appropriately.
