June 7, 2013 2:41 pm Maybe it's just Power Man Jr.'s goggles, but this title reeks of 1994.
May 10, 2013 1:07 pm I dunno who the hell this Angela is, but I'm guessing she used to own a pair of pants?
May 9, 2013 11:54 am Pouches? Check. Female bodybuilding? Check. Pointy shoulder guards? Check. Abysmal art? Check. God I miss the 1990s.
January 15, 2013 4:09 pm Wish I had seen this in time to vote for Neal Adams. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that this Bruce Timm fellow did the animated series?
January 4, 2013 12:38 pm The tough thing about Vertigo is that, with the exception of 'Hellblazer,' its best books are based on story concepts that are designed to be finite. (Whether their creators realize it or not: 'Fables' is a great case in point, and I'm beginning to worry about wheel-spinning in 'The Unwritten' as well.) That's a perfectly workable model as long as you're bringing in new books to replace the old, but clearly DC has thrown up its hands in the face of the Image renaissance. The smattering of new ongoing books like 'Saucer Country' has been less than inspiring, and many established creators would rather own their stuff outright. Unless there's miracle flagship book on the horizon, Vertigo might be relegated to exclusively publishing graphic novels.
September 24, 2012 2:21 pm Although my reasons are slightly different (storage issues), I will be using this "reboot" to stop collecting floppy issues altogether. The new 52 got me 20% of the way there, and now I can drop the anvil. Time to sit back, listen to the skinny on books, and pick up everything interesting in trades. *sigh* The end of an era.
September 18, 2012 5:28 pm Is anyone else totally hating the Simonson art? It strikes me as a bad impression of his Thor heyday. Is that harsh?
September 7, 2012 12:13 pm Just finished it. This couldn't have come at a better time; been having some comic fatigue of late. So. Very. Awesome.
August 1, 2012 5:18 pm So did this just not ship, or what?
