October 24, 2011 4:22 pm @edward Okay, so I just watched the first episode of "Once Upon a Time" and it is no more a rip off of Fables then Fables is a rip off of the public domain Grimm's fairy tale stories. The character relationships are in no way similar and does not seem to be moving in the direction of any of the Fables story arcs I've read. Yes there is a sheriff that may be the big bad wolf and yes there is a version of Fable Town, but that's really it. However, I will say this show would probably not be on the air without the comic book series and it's cult popularity. I'm honestly shocked it's not a "blatant fucking rip-off" as you put it.

October 24, 2011 2:54 pm I agree, but you have to be able to think of the book and show as different properties in order to not drive your self crazy.

October 5, 2011 7:37 pm I actually love the daughter and her little kid confidence. I laughed out loud when I saw the panel where she was all of the sudden wearing the "to cool for school" shades, at night non-the-less. I've seen this type of behavior modeled in my nephew after he learned how to ride his bike without training wheels and play angry birds all in one day, but he's a little less creepy. I absolutely love this book! It's makes your skin crawl and is funny. What else could you ask for?

September 28, 2011 8:33 pm I just finished this and it's my pick of the week. Absolutly fantastic! This is perfect comic horror writing in my opinion.

I've read Justice League, Action Comics, Bat Girl, Hawk and Dove, Storm Watch, Detective Comics, Animal Man, and Swamp Thing and the only 5/5 for me was Detective. I was seriously shocked Paul scored it a 3! What am I missing here? I think a lot of people have some sort of contempt for Tony Salvatore Daniel and loved Snyder's detective run so much it's clouding their judgment. I want to also say I really really enjoyed Swamp Thing and Animal Man too.
