THE SECRET SERVICE #1 (OF 7)
April 9, 2012 8:47 pm I feel like I need a bit of a break from Millar, but I don't think I can resist a new Dave Gibbons book.

Comic Book Casting: Y: THE LAST MAN Television Series
April 2, 2012 11:43 am I like most of the casting decisions but could not disagree more strongly about Huffman. I thought he was awful in V. Justin Long is an infinitely more interesting actor.

Top 5: Alan Moore Stories That Are Not Watchmen
December 13, 2011 9:47 am I know much hay has been made of Moore being a wizard, but his take on magic is actually really fascinating. There was an NPR interview with Gary Spencer Millidge (who just released "Alan Moore: Storyteller") who said that Moore believes magic and art are one and the same, creating something that wasn't there before. "Casting a spell" was literally spelling, writing stories. It's an interesting listen:

MOON KNIGHT #1
May 2, 2011 4:08 pm I'm not a religious man, but please Khonshu let this be good. I became a Moon Knight fan during his days with the West Coast Avengers, bought up most of his old series (including the Werewolf by Night premiere), but haven't read a series of his since that was any good. Was sorely disappointed by the recent reboot. Fingers crossed.

QUESTION: Best Single Issue of 2010
December 3, 2010 1:29 pm Shoot. I was gonna say GI Joe Cobra Special #1, the Tomax/Xamot mirror issue (since I just read the trade, brilliant!), but it was apparently published at the end of 2009. Now I'm stuck.

Weekly Sketch Up – 05/21/2010
May 21, 2010 12:29 pm Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I have to say that this feature, along with the best of Twitter, are my new favorite parts of this site. Breitweiser's Cap is just breathtaking.
