June 8, 2011 9:15 pm Am I the only one not seeing any Legion rings at all on the two Legion covers?
March 22, 2011 7:23 pm What a beautiful series of books that could have been. If this found a home in the Timmverse it could be a cartoon that defined a generation of young women.

Avengers Academy without a doubt.

It's simply the most refreshing of the Avengers books being published right now.  While it may be tied to Dark Reign, the series benefits from not carrying the weight of the last five years of event comics.  Casting off this burden seems inexorably hard in the other Avengers books and, in fact, may not be a goal of those creative teams.  By tethering Academy to Dark Reign after the event came to a close I did not have to slog through these characters trials and tribulations for the past several years as an adjunct to a line wide bombardment.  I was able to come to them fresh and focused because, while tied to the past, they are not fully within its grasp.

Avengers Academy is free of the sins of the father.

April 19, 2010 9:10 pm Teaser images like the Avengers have become oversaturated in a matter of weeks. Much like the holofoil cover before it, I just don't care anymore. Instead of beating one horse into the ground why wasn't the next set of teasers dialogue quotes from the first arc? Why not out of context panels? How about some tongue in cheek "who won't be an avenger"? Perhaps a one page strip about Jarvis being the only butler for all 75 Avengers? I love the tease, but there's a reason there's more than one dancer in the club.
April 15, 2010 6:06 pm Dan Jurgens Superman is like going to my mothers for dinner. So nice to go home once in a while.
April 1, 2010 6:13 pm So long as Josh isn't lost in time while Paul walks around wearing his clothes for the next six months I'm good.
March 29, 2010 7:12 pm It would make an omnibus so much less painful to read in bed. Also, LCD backlit Mignola. Those two thoughts made me preorder an ipad.
March 23, 2010 6:01 pm @stuclach I'm excited based on having been given most of the Moore run in the early 90s when I was around 12 or 13. Now I hope to read Gaimans run someday.
March 18, 2010 5:59 pm Been a Winick fan since Barry Ween. The Shield covers have been gorgeous. I'll stay for an arc, definitely.
