February 2, 2013 2:50 pm Kids be damned!!! I'm keeping my stash so I have something to read when I'm old and grey. Considering the majority of stuff published by the big 2 today is not worth rereading, i'm keeping my classic 70's and 80's stuff for that reason alone. By then I'm be so senile and have such a bad memory, all the old stories will feel like new again.
December 29, 2012 11:07 am Omnibus...ugh! I had the Frank Miller's Daredevil and Claremont/Bryne's X-Men run once but sold them on Ebay for the reason you mentioned...too cumberson to take on vacation. Plus I like to layback and read in bed and having that monster on your chest is nigh impossible. As for multiple copies in different formats, I would not mind having some of my all time favorites like Avengers 164-166 in digital format so I can read it again while waiting at license bureau or at the dentist office.
December 14, 2012 4:25 pm Those I can't sell either go to Goodwill or Salvation Army. The problem with comics today are the storylines are so damn complicated. Some take 4 to 6 issues to resolve or even years like Hickman's run on FF. It's hard to find one issue storylines anymore that you can simply leave at the dentist office.
December 14, 2012 4:18 pm I'm a big Nova fan. Have the original 25 issue run back in the 70's and the last run a few years back. That being said I'm skipping this series. Just like some people prefer Hal Jordan to Kyle Rayner, Rich RIder is the only Nova for me. Especially if this character is as annoying as the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon character.
November 28, 2012 8:09 pm When it comes to perspective, Weaver is one of the better artists in the industry.
November 28, 2012 8:06 pm Is it going to be part of the Age of Ultrons?
November 27, 2012 6:36 pm I hated this time period for Marvel because all their covers were so vague. Most of the time it was a poster cover and you couldn't tell what storyline was happening based just off the cover image. Thank god they stopped that practice. I remember dropping that Silver Surfer series after two issues because he did not even appear in the first two issues except in a little girl's dream/premonition/whatever. I have that Perez cover as my wallpaper on my computer. Wish I could find it on a poster though.
November 16, 2012 4:14 pm Alphabetical...10,000 comics and alphabetical is the only way to go. Any random comics like Godzilla#3 versus the Champions neatly goes into the G box. And random acts of collecting is a must for any comic fan because you are not getting the full experience if you don't occasionally buy that oddball issue and jump headfirst into an ongoing storyline.
November 14, 2012 9:07 pm Definitely a trade pickup. Don't want to pick up the regular series because inevitably there will be a huge crossover event which I care not to participate in.
November 14, 2012 9:02 pm Love Sunfire and Wonder Man. Might be tempted to pick up this one issue.
