July 1, 2013 6:44 pm There was just something to do with the writing. Maybe the writing was just too different from Tomasi for my liking. And the art was just ok, so that didn't help any either.
June 22, 2013 3:28 pm I read these when they both came out and they are excellent. Also have the original trades. Batgirl : Year One was the better mini of the two.
June 22, 2013 3:23 pm Just read this issue and it was a real struggle for me to get through it. Next issue is up in the air for me now. But I really liked Green Lantern #21.
June 17, 2013 6:33 pm I really liked this book when it originally came out from DC. I still have the series in my collection & just reread it about a month ago and it's good, but not as good as I remember it though. I believe that there can't be any DC reference in this collection, so it would be interesting to see how the Firestorm crossover gets changed in this trade paperback. Not much other DCU is in the series or gets mentioned in it.
June 11, 2013 8:48 pm Read the old X-Wing Squadron series from Dark Horse. It has a lot of Wedge in it. It is quite good.
June 4, 2013 7:37 pm I have really liked it as well since Lemire & Sorrentino have taken over.
June 3, 2013 7:51 pm Yes it is. But I am more excited about a new writer coming on then I thought I would be. I will miss Pete Tomasi on GLC though, that's hands down my favorite GL book. And his Batman & Robin is the best bat book. Staying with GL,GLC & trying the Lafreeze book.
May 26, 2013 5:20 pm I agree with you. I have read Fantastic Four since Byrne's run and this is the 1st time I have not enjoyed a Fantastic Four run. I dropped the book as of this issue, which was a very hard choice for me. But there's just something missing from Fraction's run so far. I have not really enjoyed it at all.
May 15, 2013 6:54 pm My favorites were Jones & Helfer. But I liked Gischler's Shadow more than Ennis's.
May 13, 2013 6:59 pm Is Roberson on just for 1 arc? I have not read anything I like by him yet. For me Gischler has been the best writer on this series so far. I enjoyed his arc and would like to see him back again soon.
