July 16, 2013 9:43 am I've always had a soft spot for Ultimo, who featured in one of my earliest Iron Man comics when I was a kid. Also: Big Guy from Big Guy and Rusty!
July 12, 2013 2:35 pm There's a Marvel Lego game coming out sometimes soon, right? Probably starting the promotional push.
July 12, 2013 1:18 pm I think it really just depends on what's right for the story. It would be weird to have Skottie Young do a super-serious Batman story about serial killers or something, and odd for Alex Ross to do goofy Tiny Titans (not that those guys couldn't stretch and accommodate, but you know what I mean). I think I tended to stray more realistic, but Wieringo's Fantastic Four changed all that for me. I tend to skew more stylized now.
July 12, 2013 1:02 pm He's awesome, but it looks weird just slapped on that old X-Men #1.
July 11, 2013 12:14 pm The premise sounds pretty cool, even if it does sound like something they'd do to waitaminute this is basically the premise to the DC Online video game. Good to see they've updated Angela's costume for the modern era.
July 8, 2013 1:27 pm We should start collecting images of Batman sitting down. Turns out DC has been laying the groundwork for an epic Marvel/DC Skrull invasion crossover for decades!
July 8, 2013 1:17 pm That's an excellent way of putting it.
July 8, 2013 1:15 pm Who is that sitting in Robin's chair and what has he/she/it done with the real Batman? Thor, Loki, and Cap/Falcon for me. Read Powers later. I liked what was going on in Cap/Falcon, but the art was generally not good. I'm pretty sure that was the last work Priest did for Marvel, which is a shame.
July 8, 2013 12:57 pm It's July and I haven't gotten to round up a single filthy mutie? Thanks, Obama.
July 8, 2013 12:48 pm I would love to see iFanboy do some interviews with editors. There are times when I read a comic and scratch my head as to how this story got through. When I write a story, I *hope* the editors have my back and prevent me from making a stupid mistake. That's what they are for. But I wonder how often they get a chance to say, "hey, would this happen like this? Did you mean to have this impossible thing happen?" Or is there too much pressure to get the scripts to the artist ASAP put a damper on that. Or, shudder, does it go to the artist first, and the editor doesn't see it until later? Obviously, that note that Jenkins got was idiotic, but editors do have an important role. We have plenty of examples of famous people getting to do insane things because no one around them said it was a bad idea.
