August 27, 2013 6:58 am The first issue was an intriguing set-up. It didn't wow me, but I'll most likely pick up the second issue . . .
August 23, 2013 11:55 am Of course, now that I think of it, doesn't this pretty much confirm that Justice League America only existed for the sake of Trinity War?
August 23, 2013 11:52 am OK, that makes more sense then . . .
August 23, 2013 10:28 am And just when I thought the Affleck thing would be most head-scratching item of the day . . . I don't really see the need for another League book (especially seeing as I'm dropping two if not all three of them after Trinity War), but what the hey. If it's $2.99 with some good characters, I might give it a try on the strength of Lemire. Or not. We'll see. I'm guessing this will be something launching out of the wake of the Evil Forever (or whatever it's called) event? I am curious why not revive a Justice League Europe team. Does North America really need two Leagues? Is this all about Lemire's pull with editorial?
August 23, 2013 7:18 am I agree about casting Luthor close to Superman's age -- they are supposed to be school classmates after all.
August 23, 2013 7:16 am Sigh. I'm not up-in-arms-upset-outraged about this, but, really, more disappointed. I don't really see Affleck in the role at all. It might work in the end, as Keaton did, but I have my reservations. I do agree that an actor like Brolin or Urban would have brought more to the role. So it goes. As for the conspiracy theories, another I heard last night was that Allfeck did this deal with Warner Brothers in order to green light some directorial project that otherwise wouldn't have been made. Or it's all about money. Or a Justice League film. Personally, I always liked the idea of him playing Maxwell Lord in a League film, though, when I'm honest with myself, I doubt Warner Brothers would include the character anyway . . .
August 21, 2013 9:48 pm With this issue, Matt Kindt has done what no one else has: made me care about Bloodshot. Too bad Kindt's not sticking around, though. On the plus side, between this & this week's X-O Manowar, I'm more excited for Unity . . .
August 20, 2013 9:07 pm Hmmm, Kate Bishop's pretty well served over in Young Avengers, but Maria Hill would be interesting . . .
August 20, 2013 9:03 pm I'll be getting Bloodshot 0 for Kindt (hope my shop has his variant at cover price . . .)
August 20, 2013 9:00 pm I'd vote also for Nicole -- it'd be nice to see/hear her again . . .
