Today’s a training day, Officer Hoyt. Show you around, give you a taste of the business. I got 38 cases pending trial, 63 in active investigations, another 250 on the log I can’t clear. I supervise five officers. That’s five different personalities. Five sets of problems. You can be number six if you act now. But I ain’t holding no hands, okay? I ain’t baby-sitting. You got today and today only to show me who and what you’re made of. You don’t like comics, get the fuck out of my car. Go get you a nice, pussy desk job, chasing bad checks or something, you hear me?

Revival #13
By Tim Seeley and Mike Norton
So I dig this series a lot, and it’s 13 issues in, and I say, go for it! This whole thing switches between supernatural/science mystery, grim violence of jerkface humans, and strained personal relationships. Apparently, this one is about a karaoke triple date, so I say get on it now.

Bloodshot #0
By Matt Kindt, Chriscross
Already an established voice in creator owned comics, Matt Kindt recently emerged as something of a gifted journeyman storyteller for several publishers, contributing thoughtful fill-ins and backups. This week, Kindt lends the same killer instinct he employs in Mind MGMT for the secret origins of Bloodshot, Valiant’s resident stone cold killing machine. Bloodshot’s an amnesiac with one hell of a past, so Kindt’s found himself a deluxe playground.

Batman Beyond Universe #1
By Kyle Higgins, Christos Gage, Thony Silas, & Iban Coello
The Batman Beyond digital first comics get a rebooted numbering system and some new creators that are pretty exciting. (Though I’ll really miss Norm Breyfogle. Like, a lot.) Plus there’s the pretty awesome Sean Murphy cover–that dude’s got a future in this business!
Wasn’t this the cover that Sean Murphy was so annoyed about on twitter? I think they edited his original artwork.
Yeah.

Well… It’s not like half of the image wasn’t used, it was only cropped like an inch or something… 0_o
I think he was a bit unclear in his post, because you expect him to show the original for you to compare. I would have loved a Sean Murphy Batmobile and I dont think he would squeeze it in on one inch so the original artwork has to be bigger imho
Just realised that he in fact did go for the one inch batmobile
nevermind my previous post 🙂
I’ll miss Breyfogle too. I really enjoyed his artwork.
I might pick up Bloodshot #0 next time I’m at my non-usual shop as it looks pretty interesting.
I’ll be getting Bloodshot 0 for Kindt (hope my shop has his variant at cover price . . .)
