Pick of the week for me. Although the tone varied between the two sections of the book, I dug them…

MARVEL NOW! TEASER: SOLDIER – Rick Remender & John Romita Jr.
August 3, 2012 5:10 pm Come on, you know you want more shots of Cap giving people the Fonzi point ala AvX, right? He could do it every issue!

AVENGERS VS. X-MEN #9
August 1, 2012 10:12 pm Also, say what you will about it, AvX is paced *way* better than Fear Itself was. It feels like they really took into consideration having an arc to the story that didn't feel too rushed or too drawn out. I dig it.

AVENGERS VS. X-MEN #9
August 1, 2012 10:11 pm I've been pretty "that's ok" for this entire series, but after redeeming all the digital codes I sat down and read the entire series so far and you know what? It's actually pretty dang fun! I donno, maybe I have bad taste (I like to think not), but I have a hunch this is going to be looked back at more fondly than the general opinion while it was running.
Anyway, looking forward to the last 3 issues!

Light Week? Try EMPOWERED, VOL. 7, COW BOY: A BOY AND HIS HORSE, or SUPERMAN FAMILY ADVENTURES #1!
May 29, 2012 8:02 pm Thanks to this light week (only like 5 books or something), I think I'm going to splurge on the Mosieur Jean graphic novel by Dupey. Thanks Gregorian monks, I couldn't have done it without you 5th Wednesday!

A Tale of Two Events: Avengers vs. X-Men & Night of the Owls
May 1, 2012 3:58 pm Again, congratulations on missing my point. I'm not even defending AvX, just pointing out that railing about how much you hate the thing you continue to buy is f'ing retarded. I certainly don't have a problem with expressing criticism, have at it. Just please, if you're not a fan of something, don't continue to vote with your wallet that yiu do like it! Get what you like and save yourself the indigestion!

A Tale of Two Events: Avengers vs. X-Men & Night of the Owls
May 1, 2012 1:56 pm Has nothing to do with my point, but thanks for the comment.

A Tale of Two Events: Avengers vs. X-Men & Night of the Owls
May 1, 2012 1:22 pm As far as how these events affects regular people, Kurt Buisek already made that book. It's called Astro City and the first arc was explicitly about just that.
Also; stop being part of the problem! If you're not interested in it, and you're not invwsted in either the X-Men or Avengers alredy, there's zero reason to buy this event. It's not crossing over into any comic not A or X related, so what's the point beyond masochism and having something to bitch about online?

April 18, 2012 – The Manhattan Projects #2
April 19, 2012 1:35 pm I suppose it's unnatural to enjoy both sides? AvX has been a lot of fun so far, but I also really enjoyed Manhattan Projects, Prophet and Near Death a lot this week, too. And I'm not even a 15 year old!
I don't think Ron was trying to insult anyone here, but some of that first paragraph kinda annoyed me.

AVENGERS VS. X-MEN #2 (OF 12)
April 18, 2012 11:42 pm @sitara you kidding? No offense or anything, but Arizona armpit of the US, only Florida's worse. Your elected officials won't fund basic services, let alone something as 'disposable' as the public library.

New Comics for 04.18.2012 is just saying that NBC needs some shows
April 16, 2012 9:49 pm Punisher 10 already has as many pulls as last month. DD's be averaging about 900-1000 pulls an issue, how much of a bump is Punisher going to get from this crossover? Avenging Spider-Man got a 200 pull bump, odds of Punisher pulling in about the same?
