Damian’s confrontation with Talia was a little meh, but I like where this is going.

Wow … I don’t usually get weepy at the end of a comic book … but DAMN!

December 12, 2011 7:31 pm I thought 99% of last issue was a dialogue free battle sequence ... ??
December 12, 2011 7:26 pm ah ... yes ... as if a substantial majority of the other reboot books are accessible to young, new readers ...
December 11, 2011 12:05 pm 72 is the exact number I believe. Sometimes I read this and I am totally in awe of Ennis' creativity and imagination. Rarely does an issue go by when I'm not laughing hysterically or blown away by the storytelling. That said, there were a few slowish issues after the mid-point and the shock factor is reduced a bit. Ennis starts delving into back stories and the complex interweaving of past and present gets a little hard to follow. The story telling is fine, but very different from the first several arcs. I also had a difficult time adjusting to the new artists after Robertson left. Robertson's art has a gritty, dirty feel to it that I felt matched the story better. The newer art had been more cartoonish in my opinion. But all in all, I've really enjoyed reading this book. Now Ennis is winding up for the grand finale, so the anticipation is killing me. Butcher, Baker Candlestick Maker has been an emotionally-laden, well written story. Definitely worth picking that one up too.

December 8, 2011 1:39 pm You could just call it the "PAD Effect". ;)
December 8, 2011 1:38 pm The mystery factor has me completely hooked. I can't believe SPOILER ALERT that you-know-who is really dead. Looking forward to learning the twist. Can't help but wonder if it has something to do with you-know-who not really being a mutant.
December 8, 2011 12:43 pm @NodNolan: p.s.s. Back issues of #13, #224.1, #225, #226, and #227 can be found easily for <$20, a rather reasonable cost.
December 8, 2011 12:37 pm @NodNolan: p.s. I don't disagree with your main point either ...
