June 25, 2010 7:50 pm After reading every single "Darkest Night" crossover, if I see another power ring, I'm going to hurl. Lots of other people feel the same way, and I'm avoiding ANYTHING with a "Brightest Day" on the cover. Now I must say goodbye to Power Girl. Amanda Conner's art DEFINED this title, as well as the writing by Palmiotti and Grey, made this title a joy to read, in this day and age when every title seems hell-bent on killing off the good guys just to sell a few extra copies. This new "artistic vision" is terrible, and all you people jumping on the bandwagon and raving up the art just make me sick. Her hair is different, her boots are different, her body is different, and it's not even her FACE! This isn't Power Girl anymore, it's some hideous, bizarro, pod-version from planet rip-off! I'm just going to call this title dead right now, instead of watching this abomination writhe through it's death-throes for six more months and a lack of sales results in the public beheading of Winick and Basri and they bring back someone who can at least pay a homage to the origional team. Nuff said!

June 19, 2010 6:40 pm I think the prices are going through the roof because people aren't BUYING comics anymore, they are downloading them off torrents. So fewer people buy, the price goes up, more people download (which just cheats the artists and writers), circulation drops drastically and the prices jump again which turns off alot of people who stop buying, it's just a downward spiral. Frankly, I think alot of writers have been "phoning it in" for years now with six-issue "story arcs" that that have no meaning or relevance in the evolution of the series, and I'm sick of it. I think The Boys is DONE, as of this issue. I'm not going to pay the new jacked-up price and I'm not going to wait a month to find out "what happens next" because I just don't care anymore and Garth Ennis can take a long walk on a short plank. Nuff said!
