Conan was the first comic I ever purchased as a kid. I remember thinking, "WOW! They have a comic based on the Schwarzenegger movies!" Lol.
Ever since that time, those stories have had a special place in my heart. I read the first Busiek Trade from Dark Horse and loved it. Thanks for the recommendation. I'm going to pick this up for sure!
I really liked this issue.
"New Krypton" overall is not quite as battle crazed as "Sinestro Corp," but i enjoy how Johns and Crew have made this story psychologically intense. I constantly feel like the characters are all keeping secrets from one another.
So far, so good. Looking foward to the next issue!
I felt like this issue made the threat real in a way issues 3 and 4 didn't. I would've liked to have seen those great Darkseid moments earlier in the series because Grant really made you feel like the heroes were in a very dire situation here.
Overall, I love this series. It is a bit dense, but I just love the entire concept. Everytime I reread the issues I see more. I enjoy that. There aren't many comics that do that for me.
Kudos to Grant, J.G., Carlos, and team!
