  1. WHatever the reason Renee was in that room with Amanda Waller and the Black King of Checkmate has not been established in the tie-ins.  Maybe Rucka’s final issue of Revelations will explain everything, but that book’s thus far been big on pseudobiblical and light on OMACs, etc.

  2. Oh I don’t know if that makes it better or worse…

  3. I felt like this issue made the threat real in a way issues 3 and 4 didn’t. I would’ve liked to have seen those great Darkseid moments earlier in the series because Grant really made you feel like the heroes were in a very dire situation here.

Overall, I love this series. It is a bit dense, but I just love the entire concept. Everytime I reread the issues I see more. I enjoy that. There aren’t many comics that do that for me.

Kudos to Grant, J.G., Carlos, and team!

  4. You know, as was actually at the defense when I heard people who read comics being called dorks with no girlfriends before I read all the positive reviews about Final Crisis.  Now I understand why better.  If anybody doesn’t feel like they are getting duped for their four dollars by reading this garbage, then you really are a dork with no girl.  I’m sorry.  I’m going back to just reading Batman and Spiderman again.  I don’t think I will ever buy another mini series ever again after trying to understand what this nonsense is all about.  And the sad fact is that I wouldn’t not have even ever read or bought any of these junky comics if DC didn’t keep saying that this story has something to do with what is going to happen to Batman after R.I.P.!!  I don’t see where the two stories tie into each other one time yet!!!!!!!!!!!
