August 1, 2017 6:39 am Well I think a big part of the mixed feelings is Harmony Gold and how they are the reason for none of the subsequent Macross material (of which Robotech is based on) being officially released in the west and how HG seem to exist just to threaten anyone using giant robots in fiction/games. Especially with the dubious nature of their claims to ownership.
July 30, 2017 9:02 pm Surprised you even tried Robotech given my feeling that you guys have never gotten into manga or anime. But as you said Brian Wood. And yeah for group of people it was important. It was the gateway into anime and manga. I never really considered it versus voltron though. Voltron was more versus Battle of the Planets in my mind. Robotech was much more ummmm adult.
March 26, 2016 7:14 pm Overall I enjoyed it, just as I did MoS. Enjoyable with reservations. Wasn't too impressed with the Zuckerberg version of Lex and having to hand out an idiot ball to show him as a genius. Diana was enjoyable, though I expected her in it a bit more, and it felt like it ended on more optimistic note, even for Bruce. Lots of table setting though.
August 31, 2012 5:17 am Being in Australia I so wish this was streamed or recorded for later sale on DVD or on Itunes or something.
April 12, 2012 2:58 am I preferred Saucer Country myself.
February 9, 2012 6:10 pm Pretty happy about this, especially given the Green Arrow pilot is not a spinoff. Should have happened much sooner to the end of the show though and followed more directly on from the show. Nice to see DC trying some digital first things out.
June 2, 2011 4:02 am Definitely mixed feelings here. Good to see the digital move, though I'm wondering where vertigo is in this.

The radical change in terms of the comics though just saddens me as I'm so very much enjoying what I'm reading. This might be the end of an era for me and DC superhero books.
May 9, 2011 1:49 am Saw it on the weekend and I was pretty neutral on the whole thing. Didn't like the Asgard scenes for the most part, it seemed so fake (and was pretty bored till the banishment). I also had issues with Thors arc in terms of his change of personality once his banaishment. It was all to fast. Though I guess it being a film forced that on people.

Kat Dennings I loved though, as well as the brief Thor/Destroyer encounter.

But really I think my main issue is that I just don't find origin films interesting. Which is why for a while now I've been waiting for rentals for superhero films. My Thor love got the better of me in this case.

I guess I'd give it a B- or a B.

September 20, 2010 8:11 am Another Quasar fan here. Loved the Gru series. Ron. You just sold me on the Superheroes book.
