April 24, 2012 7:05 pm @Wally-Seeing as there is no money involved, and no real damages/injury that could be demonstrated, I really do not know what the mouse could do besides a strongly worded 'cease and desist' letter. I really do not know what the legal department could do besides get a declaratory judgment. This isn't something that is infinitely repeatable. Person 'A' buys it and gives it to person 'B'. Person 'B' and only person 'B' can then access it. I really do not know what DisneyCorp could do that has any teeth. That much having been said, this isn't my area of legal expertise, so I would welcome any reliable information regarding this subject. Ken brings up a really intriguing idea.
April 24, 2012 6:54 pm Why should your arbitrary price point be any more valid than the one that Marvel or DC put forth?
April 24, 2012 6:53 pm We're in the 'ice age' because the market and distribution system is changing? Based purely on how we consume it, and not based on the quality or other characteristics of, you know, the medium itself? That is preposterous. Are we in the ice age of music as well?
April 24, 2012 6:44 pm @mudi900-Seriously, why does one need absolution for 'shady' business practices?? You only need that for unethical business practices. DC is following the contract that both parties agreed to. This gray area that you are referring to consists of ethical practices that you, personally and subjectively, do not agree with. There is nothing wrong being done. You just don't like it, so you label it with bad connotations.
April 24, 2012 6:40 pm It's not dead. It lives strong in the hearts and minds of children everywhere.
April 9, 2012 12:14 pm I am not sure if pinning a list to your shirt is a preventative measure that will prohibit you from making a fool of yourself. Seems like two steps forward and one back to me. Maybe a smart phone with a notepad feature/app. But hey, different strokes and different folks. ;)
April 9, 2012 11:26 am Early McFarlane was so, so good. He is pretty much the reason I got back into comics in Jr. High. Hell, I even like his early stuff more than I like Lee's.
April 1, 2012 6:59 pm Pretty enjoyable. I really liked the style more than I thought I would. The writing was better than I thought it would be. I found that I really enjoyed the asides that they were doing and how they did them. Bugle sound for the Osborn cornrows... ;)
February 27, 2012 1:21 pm Cutting your own hand always seemed completely ridiculous to me whenever they do it for any reason. It is really difficult to heal skin that is always moving/flexing. I never understood it. And to top it off, lots of nerves there. But it's probably for budgetary reasons that they always do it, as palms do not get a lot of air time. Why stab THROUGH the skull?? Eye sockets are much easier. Of course Shane lost his knife doing something stupid like that.
February 20, 2012 1:11 pm @jimski: I think that you are asking a bit much. If the Pym thing has taught us anything, it is that reading and comprehension might be at an all time low.
