Huh…. I remember when The Dark Knight Rises reviews came out and I had the emotional equivalent to eye-rolling when…

I am going to admit something. I stopped reading this comic after issue 2. But when I saw the title…

August 24, 2012 12:36 am That is not going to bode well for a certain Mr Trevor. This is see-able, as my perspective it was less on what does Superman see in Lois or what not, and what does Wonder Woman see in Superman. She is a warrior and bides no fools or whimps. With that said, this new take of Superman and particularly Morrison's Action comics take, makes this gimmick (and it is a gimmick) plausible (in this landscape of fantasy)

August 23, 2012 6:24 am And to pile on to the awesome. Jason Aaron will be at MorrisonCon. Here is to having a drink with such creators who have contributed so much to my life over these many years. That sound boys and girls of every age, is the sound of Happy Feet 6,500 miles away (as the crow files from Las Vegas - your mileage may vary)
August 21, 2012 8:14 pm Huge thanks to @Mono0521 - and I was blown away, by how far we have come in Special Effects. The amount of Green Screen was jarring to me, and while I agree that I should have expected it, it still pulled me out of the whole immersion and reminded me how ridiculous Captain America's costume was. And made me appreciatte Chris Nolan even more. The practical effects and the level of immersion. Which is probably why I need a breather inbetween TDKR viewings.
August 21, 2012 1:05 am "You got to stick the landing" That Jpsh's opening salvo in this POTW review of the final episode/ issue of Fear Agent. A book that I only discovered because of this site... this community. And Scalped is as well a series that I would never have experienced without this same connective thread. Just over 4 weeks ago, I started from Scalped #1 and ran through what @COMICBOOKGUY correctly described as 'a truly perfect series". He is right. There is not one false note. The story told was as perfect as the issue 50 they dropped. Not since Sandman has I been thinking "has the final issue been dropped this week?". Perhaps even more so, as I was not a fan of the Kindly Ones. But I am waiting WITHOUT expectation of story or worry. In Aaron I trust.
August 18, 2012 11:10 pm Sigh - It hurts to read what I just wrote: "Agree with everything you said just said, and I believe that you made those points more accutely than my diatrabe for a review. One shot standalones can matter. Like the snow covered Christmas special one with the blind children. Simple and beautiful – from affecting art to internal dialogue that plucks at the emotional strings - to evoke something stirring So in the end, the hype machine coupled with Allred’s interview (Don’t Miss Podacst) is indeed correct. Daredevil the institution is back to something that I have not read in a while, and I will happily revist them every month, even if it is not 5 stars everytime. Cause the lows are never that low, and the highs are just so damn high Thanks you for my indulgence Mark (Where is the delete POST option?)
