AMAZING SPIDER-MAN HOOKY #1
April 10, 2012 4:01 am I know this is a reprint, but I never read the original. I'm really looking forward to some Bernie Wrightson Spidey art.

Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye is a Terrible Archer
March 22, 2012 11:25 pm If anyone's interested, in Japan they still have mounted archery as a sport/activity/martial art. It's called yabusame, and you can find videos of it on YouTube.

Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye is a Terrible Archer
March 22, 2012 12:22 pm And that extends to other fields as well. After working at an amusement park, I just hate it in movies when someone flips a switch and ALL the rides in the amusement park not only turn on, but they all start running as well. Roller coasters running without operators are especially ridiculous. But, hey, I didn't let that stop me from enjoying Zombieland. On a related note, if I refused to watch movies because of bad physics, I'd never be able to watch another movie again!
@Josh - Loved the last two paragraph's of the article.

Heads Up: Marvel Comics Previews – May 2012
February 21, 2012 8:23 pm I sometimes find my omnibuses a chore to read. I was always curious about Morrison's X-Men because both his work and the X-Men themselves have always been hit or miss for me. I went and got these trades:
http://www.amazon.com/New-X-Men-Grant-Morrison-Marvel/dp/0785155031/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1329873457&sr=8-5
They're small and compact, and much easier to read. And, hey, if you don't like the first one, then you've only spent $10 instead of $80. (Just rounding the Amazon prices.) But, if you think you'll end of up liking Morrison's run, then the omnibus is cheaper than buying all 8 trades.

REVIEW: Old City Blues
January 16, 2012 9:10 pm I enjoyed this, but the story isn't the greatest. Although, to have something that feels a little bit like "Akira" or "Pluto" sitting on my shelf isn't bad. I hope Milonogiannis' story-writing chops catch up to his art skills. Paul's review is dead on. I think if you can look at the samples on this page, you'll know if this book appeals to you or not.

What Are The Hulk Rules?
December 12, 2011 7:40 pm I always feel like I'm chasing the dragon with Hulk stories, because they'll never be as good as PAD's run. If there ever was a reason to stop publishing a character, the end of PAD's run would have been a perfect place.

Indie Shortlist: Paul Pope, Part 1
November 23, 2011 12:39 am Those original THB issues were long, and oversized. I really hope that collection comes out soon. I some issues I didn't have (the normal comic-sized ones) at NYCC, but they were 40 bucks a pop. I'm sure Pope earns more for mainstream art work than comic work, but I look forward to anything he's involved in. His books are event books to me.
