September 7, 2009 12:02 am I was glad when I saw that they were using Stephanie as the new Batgirl.  It went all downhill from there.  Don't like how they wrote her as almost completely inept.  Then they put her in college.  A female in college is a woman, not a girl.  I understand that the Batwoman moniker is already taken so they should have put her in high school.  I won't be picking up #2.

September 6, 2009 5:27 pm It was good enough for me to check out the next issue but I'm not as gaga for it as others seem to be.  Reminds me of 'The Village' movie from M. Night Shyamalan.

September 5, 2009 12:51 am I was pleasantly surprised by this comic.  I had read The Hangman and wasn't very impressed.  I skipped Inferno altogether after flipping through it in the store.  The Web, however, caught my attention with its art and I really enjoyed the story.  I know nothing about the original Web, but I like how they've updated this character with its connection to the World Wide Web.  I'll be picking up the series when it launches.

September 4, 2009 11:34 pm Red Tornado, Red Torpedo, Red Inferno, Red Volcano.  Derivative characters only work when the "original" character is well defined and iconic.  The introduction of these new characters only serves to dilute a character who is unknown to begin with.  Characters based on the four "elements"?  Not particularly original and nothing new is added here.  Deeply disappointed.
