March 20, 2013 3:55 am So far they both look bad. With every new batman show they get worse. Dont get me wrong im sure these shows will appeal very well to kids, but as for teens and up, i dont think their will be many viewers. Based on what iv heard on beware the batman (and this was when the show was first announced before the green lantern and YJ cancellations) it isn't looking good. The main criticism: we have a pig and a toad as the main two villains as appose to the wonderful wealth of other villains available? And as for teen titans, i enjoyed the original show and as i said on another post was sad to see it go back in the day, but got over it. This one wont even compare to the original. Guess im gonna have to throw myself back into Batman Beyond Unlimited and buy the YJ comics when they comes out in trade...
March 17, 2013 7:07 pm Dear GOD! Genius! An interview would be great! It felt kinda weird they'd make the ending so open, especially considering the controversy this has had round it. A series in the far far far far future may be a possibility. The ending of YJ and GL would be much less if they where being replaced by something decent. I may have liked the original Teen Titans series, and i was sad to see it end; but i made peace with that a long time ago. This heavily comedy centered sequel doesn't look anywhere near as interesting as the original, so this is opening new wounds as well as old ones. And as for beware the batman? THE MAIN VILLAINS ARE A TOAD AND A PIG! WHERE THE HELL IS THE JOKER (not that im sure id want to see him in this rendition...)?
January 30, 2013 2:16 pm well since this news surfaced a few days ago the petitions hit 14,000 and counting. I know some people might see it as a pointless effort, but even so if anyone here hasn't signed the petition, or knows people who like the show who might not have signed it (friends or family) you/they should still sign it. It would be nice to have the show for at least two more seasons.
January 28, 2013 5:42 pm To the petitions! They’re not taking the closest thing iv got to the original DCAU without a fight!!!!
January 17, 2013 1:53 pm Superman Family Adventures is not a massive loss for me as Im to young to have children who could read it and to old to read it myself. Saucer Country sounds interesting and ill have to pick it up in trade. While i didn't buy I Vampire i found the opening arc to be one of the best out of the new 52. Im slightly disappointed to see it go and will pick it up in trade. DC Universe presents was to me one of the best things to come out of the new 52, at least in theory. The artwork is great and its nice to have both a comic you can pop in and out of every few months, and one that gives the spotlight to more obscure characters and happenings. Shame they took the obscure part a bit to far. while I've enjoyed the stories in varied degrees the lineup of characters they chose from story to story was never going to pull in the readers they where looking for. On the bright side the last few issues look good.
January 12, 2013 7:12 pm Happily surprised to see so many other people still hold the show in their hearts :) Out of the variations seen throughout the different DCAU series id say my favorite variation of Bruce Timms batman was Justice Leagues. The show set up the way i expect all DC characters in terms of looks, personality and voice (hear them every time i read a comic). Plus the plots to the episodes where great. Kinda makes me wish their where more shows like the old DCAU other than Young Justice, or a comic continuation for the DCAU itself (still have batman beyond unlimited though :D )
January 8, 2013 5:45 pm I found the situation peter found himself in at the end of the amazing Spiderman the most compelling thing about the book, and although he didn't go out in a "blaze of glory" like ultimate Peter Parker, I found it a emotionally provoking idea to end on. I can only feel it would have been better if we didn't need a new Spiderman and it had ended their and then. I don’t have a lot of love for the Doc Spider man, if for no other reason than the fact he’s (supposedly) getting back together with Mary Jane. I find it very of putting (I didn't even like splitting them up without Gwen or Felicia being involved).
