This books was great and served as a proper end to a story that has seen the children of the atom at their lowest point since the mutant massacre. This issue held extra meaning for me as New Mutants #87 was one of my first few comics and Cable always being one of my favorite characters. Seeing Cyclops collapse on his son's casket was especially heart wrenching. Only true fan of the X-men could feel how important this issue was, from the conversation with Wolverine and Storm to Beast Silent departure not to mention Hopes manifestation of the Phoenix force and the reboot of the X-Gene. Make no mistake this issue was important in ways that are going to effect the marvel universe for many years to come. All I need is Jubilee re-powered, Stacy X and Joseph back from the dead and Firestar on the X-men. It certainly seems like they could use a few warm bodies at the moment.
