This was just embarrassing. Kieron Gillen is a solid writer, so I can only imagine editorial edict was responsible for this “daytime soap opera” farce. All attempts at emotional writing come across like diary entries from a thirteen year old, and the art, while serviceable, is also extremely offensive.
It did, however, contain my biggest laugh of the week where the caption “…don’t turn this into an embarrassment” appears on the page with “prehistoric” Storm dressed in a tiny bikini (presumably the skin some animal that comes with it’s own shoestring ties) with her hair covering her breasts. Too late Storm.
Too late.

  1. Reminded me a lot of picking action figures.
