Much like tha *bamf*s he uses for teleportation, there was some smoke to this issue, but no fire.  Ok, ok, it’s not actually smoke, it’s the smell of brimstone, but the expression doesn’t go “all brimstone, no fire”.  I suppose I could say “all brimstone, no hell”, but…

This reads like a Claremont heavy-handed 1980s X-Men story.  Nightcrawler has to quit the X-Men to find out who he is.  And when he leaves, he goes to his old village where, wonders behold, he finds someone startlingly similar to himself.  Is this person a child-eating monster or a likable guy like Kurt, who just looks like a demon.

Boy howdy, you won’t care when the reveal happens.

I’ve certainly read worse comics this year, but as far as X-stories go, pretty bottom of the barrel.

Story: 1 - Poor
