While I’m mostly enjoying the Second Coming crossover, I hope when it’s over that Marvel has the heart to put some decent artists on these books.  The characters look differently bad in each title.  I can never tell if, when she uses her powers, Greg Land’s version of Storm is getting fisted from behind by The Invisible Woman, or if she’s letting out gas that’s been cramping her, but she looks ridiculous.

This issue appears to be the setup for the big battle scene, and I’m neither more nor less excited about it than I was at the beginning of the series, and given how I’ve felt about a lot of the X-titles this past year, that’s, sadly, better than I expected to feel.

Comments

  1. That’s probably one of the funniest reviews I’ve read from you in a while.  Dark humor is devine.

  2. The fisting theory is probably correct, what with Greg Land tracing pornstars and all.
