I haven’t read a lot of Blade books.  I only saw the first movie (I’m afraid of Hunter Hearst Helmsley).  Apart from MI 13, I know nothing about Blade.  And that’s ok.  All you need to know for this issue is that he kills vampires, and there is some major turmoil in the vampire world.

This book would have been helpful before X-Men #1, as it’s meant to be a prequel.

Green’s art is wildly inconsistent.  There are some gorgeous panels, and some questionable anatomy choices.  I also thought the dead vampires looked more silly than ominous.  But overall, the good panels vastly outnumbered the bad.
