The first issue of this series was okay. I thought a little of the aftermath of Second Coming would be shown in at least one page, but none of that was given. We do see Pixie and Jubilee relaxing and Warren in his Angel persona so I am guessing the X-Men has recuperated somewhat. As for Jubilee, I am glad she has returned to an X-title instead of being Wondra in the New Warriors and hope that she would regain her powers along with donning a X-uniform again.
    For the interior artwork, I am not really a fan of art that looks similar to Anime style, but I like this cartoon look better than what Terry Dodson brings to the table. Paco Medina does draw a cool looking Cyclops and Wolverine.
     Finally is the summary portion of the review. X-Men #1 starts off in San Francisco where we find Pixie and Jubilee sitting underneath an umbrella. Next a character in shady clothes walks by and takes off his coat. Immediately his skin starts burning and then he explodes splattering his blood on bystanders and Jubilee as well.
     An infected Jubilee meets up with the X-Men in Utopia and Cyclops suspects they are dealing with vampires. The virus is spreading all over Jubilee rapidly and Dr. Nemesis concludes that there is no cure at the moment. Meanwhile, the people infected are hypnotized and are brought to the woods by the vampires responsible for the suicide attack. They wait for Jubilee to meet with them claiming that their leader wants her.
     Back at Utopia, Storm volunteers to investigate the vampire problem, but Cyclops sends Wolverine along with Angel and Pixie instead. They stumble upon a warehouse with fresh bodies and weapons. Right away they are attacked by a vampire woman who states that the Lord of Vampires is in town. Cyclops orders their return so that the X-Men can have a meeting. Jubilee is then shown as she succumbs to becoming a vampire.
