This is the issue I’ve been waiting for since X-Factor relaunched.  The title’s been inconsistent with hit-and-miss stories and occasional lapses into lackluster art.  But the pencils are fine here as Peter David hits just about every emotion in this story.  This might be his best single issue since #87 of the original X-Factor run.  Hopefully this is a sign that the book is finally on track and not just one high point in an otherwise meandering book.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. I’m glad someone pointed out that Peter David hit so many different emotional beats in this. It was fantastic. Glad to see people are heeding his warning to avoid spoilers.
