Ok i admit it that im a sucker for mythology in my comics. Or whatever you want to call it just the intresting little storys and facts Azzarello has been telling regarding the world that they have been building on.

For example in this issue we learned about the underworld being composed up entirely of souls of the dead and the point that was made that wouldnt you rather be useful for something and actually serve purpose in the afterlife, after Wonder Woman was shocked upon learning this fact.

Or the intresting cast of characters and history given in previous issues about how Diana came to be, and even history about the Amazon race itself surrounded by family issues and gods all in the mix.

In such a great week for me this comic continues to successfully bring something unique and intresting to the table from what i would ever have imagined coming from a Wonder Woman comic. When this run is complete it is going to be a great read for years to come.

  1. I love the cover on this comic. Diana is flying through the air, one eye squinting as she aims and fires Eros’ love guns. The little hearts formed by the bullets’ explosive exits are a nice touch.
