I have loved the Old Man Logan story line since the very first issue but I knew that the one thing that could make me hate this story line was if the big reveal about “What broke Wolverine?” didn’t live up to the hype. But it did. It lived up to it and then surpassed it with ease. I didn’t think their was anyway to break Wolverine that would have worked. I thought that no matter how much  the villains hurt him or no matter how many people Wolverine has to kill he would never break. But the curve ball they throw at you in this issue shows the reader the perfect way to defeat Wolverine and completely crush his spirit.

Not only was the writing great but the art was amazing. Overall this would easily have been the perfect issue had it not been for the ending. Having the big reveal in the middle of the book instead of the end completely throws off the story telling. That said, this story line will read so much better when it is collected into a trade.
