Apparently I like X-Men! Between this and Vaughan’s Logan I’m in Wolverine heaven.

I love this issue. Admittedly, I only picked it up because I’ve been enjoying Scalped so much but I am really glad I jumped on board.. The first issue was alright in my opinion. It set up some stuff but it didn’t leave me wanting more. It left me a little blah.

That’s not the case with this issue. Aaron jumps around in the timeline again to show the history between Wolverine and Mystique to great effect. It’s definitely upping the tension.

The artwork is great and solid. My pet peeve is weird looking faces from panel to panel and I did not notice a single one in this issue. However, it doesn’t jump out at me the way great comic art should.

I don’t know if Jason Aaron will continue on this title but as long as he’s writing it I’ll be reading.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 3 - Good
