It's almost five in the morning and I haven't slept yet, so this won't be that in depth. Wolverine is a favorite character of mine and even I'm sick of seeing him pop up every where in the Marvel U. However, I feel as if the majority of the reviews I've seen of this book, one on this site and some others elsewhere are not judging this book by the story or art. Instead this issue is being reviewed poorly because people are tired of Wolverine as a character or because it is yet another #1 issue. Jason Aaron's examination of Wolverine is as strong here as it has been since he began writing the character. This being the beginning of the story arch, not a whole lot was revealed. This doesn't mean it wasn't entertaining though. My favorite part of the story was not about Wolverine though, but instead his new girlfriend Melita, who I was afraid we would never hear from again after she was introduced in Aaron's Weapon X series. Oh yeah, and Mystique is back, which is always a good thing as far as I'm concerned. I'm not the best judge of artists, but Guedes gets the job done. There was one page I thought was slightly confusing, but on the whole I thought he helped to tell a good story. So there.
