This issue is exactly what comes to mind when I think Ed Brubaker and Winter Soldier. Now that the first arc is over, which was great but the inclussion of gorillas with guns and Dr Doom made it feel different, the book is back on track with what has made bucky/winter soldier such an interesting character.

Plot is pretty straight forward, bucky is on the hunt for the last of the 3 sleeper agents but with more emphasis on espionage and all around spy kick-assary. The last two agents were dealt with relative ease but this last agent seems will complicate things. I’m genuinely intrigued on how this agent will effect Buckys life, will he cause problems for his “secret identity”? The rumor of brubaker leaving cap may or may not be true but I really hope he sticks with this book for a long time.

Lark did a fabulous job taking over, art is spot on and I think does a really good job portraying what brubaker is trying to say either literally or with body language (i.e. the relationship between bucky and natasha).

Overall a great issue and a great restart point for anyone who loved the 40 issues of Cap with winter soldier but for whatever reason *cough fear itself *cough stopped following.
