I'm fairly new to comics and this is my first review so I apologize if it's not up to par with other user reviews.

I stumbled upon the preview for Who Is Jake Ellis #1 earlier this week while trying to make my pull list. I was hooked after finishing the preview and decided to pick it up on Wednesday. The book is about a spy named Jon Moore who is on the run after getting into trouble with some cartel like characters. The catch is that Moore has an invisible "bodyguard" who can predict future events and helps him to evade the people chasing him.

The book hooked me within the first 3 or 4 pages by jumping right into an action scene. I like the idea of showing us an outsider’s view of what’s happening and then showing us how the events took place according to Moore. People have said this book reminded them of Jason Bourne and the Bourne Trilogy and I can see why. The action scenes are very Bourne-ish and they make for some entertaining panels.

My favorite aspect of the book would have to be the art, more specifically the color. The page where Moore is running into the cathedral was stunning. The contrasting colors in this book works really well.

Overall I was highly satisfied with Who Is Jake Ellis #1 and will definitely be picking up the remaining issues.
