WOW just WOW. heres a little haiku that sums it up
A phone rings, who's this?
"Rick it wasn't your fault".
Rick has gone crazy.
Kirkman had me going with the ride thinking they had a chance to meet up with new characters and a better chance at surviving. So when its revealed to be Lori on the phone i let out a "oh shit" and my heart sank. I was totally there with Rick. Kudos to Kirkman. And Charlie just captured the whole moment beautifully with his art.

I was thinking the same thing. I also thought the phone would be a device to introduce a new cast of characters. But instead Kirkman uses it to explore Rick’s metal state. Great read.
I wasn’t surprised that the phone was a hallucination, I suspected that as soon as he "heard" it but Carl didn’t – and I think there was no sound effect for the phone, either. But it being Lori was a shocking guy punch that was far more interesting.
