UMMM Magic, literary figures, and unicorns normally would scare me away from any type of entrainment but man did this issue suck me in. I was luke warm after the first issue but I was sold after what I can only guess was a sexual innuendo with a Unicorn asking a teenage girl to “Stroke it”. It was meant to be funny, I hope, because I laughed loudly and the unicorn did shoot Tom a dirty look when he told the group to focus.

There is some really cool world building here with lots of layers that could be expanded in future issues and arcs. The story could take a hard left turn and take it’s self to serious but never does and is well framed by very funny moments. The art isn’t knock you out nice but it fit’s the tone of the book well. A very pleasant surprise for me.
