There were two things that surprise me about this weeks comics. The first being that almost all the comics I look forward too came out this week and the second was what I chose for my pick of the week, the Unwritten by Mike Carey. Out of my entire stack that was filled with the likes of Captain Britain, Deadpool, and X-factor this series is the only story that made me want to read the next issue write away. What stood out for me was the story and execution of the plot. The story is about Tommy Taylor who was the basis for a characgter in his fathers Harry Potter like story, but the twist is that Tommy starts to think that him and the character may be the same person. Also, Carey uses different forms of naration to drive the plot home. Each different kinds of dialogue whether it be the blogger on the site, the narator from the novel or the news story is all very important to the plot and helps give you a bigger view of the story. Also it helps to have a realy great cliff-hangar. In  all honesty, I would not have picked this book if the price was not a dollar but I am glad i did.  I can not wait till the next issue
