Well, this is a very unique book. It seemed to rely on the characters more than setting up the story. I mean there was the cave plot but it seemed more interested in how the rangers interacted with the townspeople or how the Indian Business guy was a glorified car salesman. And I have to say I really like that. All the people introduced here seemed archetypes instead of cliche.

The art was really good too. I like how the towns folk looked and the way the caves looked did a good job of making it feel different. I don’t know if Donal ever finished and produced his caving comic, but I remember it having this same feel when down in the caves.

I really am straining to think of something I didn’t like about this issue, and I’ll be damned if I can think of one. The only reason this book won’t sell 100,000 copies is because people aren’t willing to try something different.

Story: 4 - Very Good
