Uncanny Avengers #1 was my first experience of the Marvel universe since I stopped reading regularly a year and a bit ago. The issue did a good job of catching me up on what had gone on in my absence, as well as setting up some new storylines for the next, I'm guessing, few years. I liked the feeling of two families being forced together after a tragic event but understand why people are kinda mad about Cyclops' treatment, although I never was a huge Scott fan, so him being used as a 'Magneto' type character doesn't affect me as a fan too much. I really enjoyed Cassaday's art, and thought the colouring complimented his work perfectly, even if Alex Summers did look kind of like New-DC U John Constantine. Overall, as long as the talent on this book stays the same I'm pretty sure I'll carry on picking up this title as a 'flagship' book as it provides a pretty good insight into main current events in the Marvel Universe.
