So, does Chris Claremont get a writing credit for Ultimatum & X-Men Requiem? Cause he really should.
Wolverine killed off...hmmm, that sounds familiar. Wait, wasn't that what Claremont originally wanted to do before he left the X-Men titles in the 90s. And isn't that what he finally go to do in X-Men Forever?
Kitty with Wolverine's claws...Did you see the cover to X-Men Forever #4? I realize that there's a difference between Kitty holding Logan's bones and the claw actually being in her arm, but they are VERY similar. I also thought that the Kitty vs. Sabretooth fight seemed like deja vu compared to what is going on in X-Men Forever.
Don't get me wrong, I liked this issue, but some of the material seemed very similar.
I LOVE Kitty's costume in the Ultimate-verse. I hope that sticks around.
I was also a little confused as to where Colossus and Storm were. So I went back to reread the final issue of Ultimatum. I gathered that they are probably being help be Carol Danvers & Shield.
Overall, I'll miss this series. I loved it when it first came out, but it seemed to stop coming up with new storylines and focused instead of introducing the "Ultimized" versions of classic characters.
I'm looking forward to see what Ulimate Comics holds for these characters.

I thought the art was fantastic, but the story was kinda "eh". I also can’t stand those Ultimatum newspaper clippings…soooo poorly done.
DUDE I LOVE THAT KITTY COSTUME TOO. I also enjoyed the Ultimate X-men series all around especially the apocalypse arc. I’m actually disappointed it got retconned by phoenixbish so now I’m wondering why Mr. Cable didn’t go back in time to stop Ulti-oh… that’s right he died… XD
Colossus, Storm and Thing all look like they’re going to me absorbed into the new Ultimates book later this year.
As mishandled as the event itself was I do like the shake-ups within the univere and nice to see other people still here, and still interested in it.
