The reason why I liked the story in this issue (and the past couple of issues) is the same reason why I’m enjoying the past few episodes of Lost. The main plot line may not be moving, but we get a “behind the scene peek” on how the characters got to where they are in the “main” story.

Just like on Lost, the Oceanic Six got back on the island weeks ago. The past 3 or 4 shows have been about how the individual characters got there. It’s the exact same thing here. In one issue, we see how Bruce gets to Tibet (and all the phone calls to Betty). Here we see the other side of the phone calls (or pane of glass when Nick is talking to Logan). I totally flashed back to last night episode of Lost (PS: Best of the season so far).

Yeah, the ride to the inevitable fight is a little long, but I’m enjoying the ride. And I know the destination is somewhere over the horizon!
