The opening 8 pages of ultimate comics thor #1 achieve a
miraculous superhero-sequential-rhythm that I haven’t felt since the first 3
pages of All-Star-Superman. Hickman and Pacheco deal out panels and words with
pulsing momentum- From the opening battle cry “Do You Lack Faith, Brother… Or
Do You Believe?!?!” through the Ragnarok splash to the title page, the team
behind this book (Vines inks/Delgado colors/Cowles!! letters!!) deliver perfect
comic timing.

But then it slowwwwssss dowwwwwnnnnn for two pages… Hickman tells too much expository-science, not enough mad-science.

But then! Mad God Science! Nazi Magic!  Fun Times! With some pacing problems!
