Ultimate Spider Man #50 was one of the first comics I bought when I fell in love with the medium, so I’ve got a soft spot for this series even if I stopped reading Marvel a loooong time ago (not a big fan of their style, save for Daredevil and The Punisher). When I heard that Peter Parker was killed and Bendis was introducing a completely new Spider Man, I knew I had to pick it up just to see what they would do with it. The results were pretty good in my estimation. I like Miles Morales so far; very humble, just wanting to do the right thing…very Parker-esque but different enough to make it worthwhile. With Morales we’ll get a different side of NYC and I’m looking forward to that as well, and I’m intrigued to see how others react to him once he really makes his presence known. The only thing I don’t like? The price point and it may cause me to not continue reading even if that’s the best book I’ve read this week. As a side note, when’s Bendis going to finally go crazy after writing Spider Man all these years?
