Oh, boy.  I guess you can say I suffered through issue one of this series… while I enjoyed the meeting of the “trinity” in their street clothes the rest of the book fell flat on its face.  Now, usually after falling flat on your face you get a broken nose and you don’t go back for more.  But, this book couldn’t be that bad, could it?  I mean I even liked 52 and Countdown for the most part and bought each book religously for two years… Trinity had to get better.

Nope.  It’s that bad.

The story seemed unfocused and when you did manage to squint and get some of it into focus, it wasn’t worth it.  I want the three heroes that this book is named for and I want them kicking ass, I want plot, I want action… I want them together doing all that.  The art didn’t get much better… I guess I expected better from Bagley – although I admit that his work is mostly unknown to me, but the stuff I browsed through on Ultimate Spidey seemed decent and competent enough.  Here, he’s simply a third rate Dan Jurgens….

DC: please cancel this book now and give us something worthy of your top tier heroes.

(Oddly enough, this is the first book that’s made write a review… it moved me that much!)

Story: 1 - Poor

  1. ahHA! so YOU’RE the reason JD was taken and I couldn’t get it when I signed up!
    CURSES!

    and stuff.

    🙂

as for the action, this is a weekly series, so i’m thinking it’s gonna take a couple issues to build to the action. i’m gonna stick it out for awhile and hope it takes off. i disagree about Countdown, i’m enjoying this way more then that series!
