Pros:
- Superman comes off as awesome in a fight with the CSA. I like to see him break
loose from time to time and just show everyone the definition of bad ass. I
know a lot of people are concerned that they are making the next
Superman "dark", but if they handle his "darkness" the same way it was
handled here, I think they can pull it off.
- The "nonpowered" citizens of the antimatter earth react to their freedom from the oppression of the CSA by rioting rather than celebrating. How perfectly anti.
- The end of the backup feature features (you like that didn't you) Sun-Chained-in-Ink becoming unchained. It looks impressive.
Cons:
- I didn't think this
issue was quite as strong as the last few due to the relatively weak
backup feature. There were some odd introductions (for lack of a
better word) where some of the "villian's" names were repeated in an
odd fashion. I assume this was done because they are hoping someone
new will be picking up this issue and need the introduction.
- The whole John Steward 100101 (binary solo) is getting a little old. I would like to see some progression of his story.
Overall, the book was fun, with solid art and a decent story.
Art: 4 - Very Good
