I wish I liked this book more. I’m just surprised by the parts of this book I don’t enjoy.

I’m really not enjoying the main story which is the opposite of what I thought would happen. For me, there are some fine moments with Superman acting cool but ultimately I just don’t care. They’re fighting off another planet and the fight isn’t all together that interesting. I’m also growing tired of Mark Bagley’s art. I don’t love it anymore. I remember enjoying his work on Ultimate Spider-Man but now it’s not the same for some reason.

I’m surprised week after week how much I am enjoying the back up story. Perhaps, it has a lot to do with the fact that it deals with Nightwing, Robin, and Oracle but that story seems to be paced much better than the main story. There always seems to be a cool hook that makes me look forward to the next issue.

All in all Trinity is an OK comic. I just keep waiting for it to WOW me.
