Jason Aaron is one of the best writers in comics today. Not only that but his style is varied and every single book he puts out has its own voice. Thor: God of Thunder continues the incredible momentum set up by a stellar first issue and shows no signs of slowing down.

Aaron’s writing is well-paired with Esad Ribic’s art and Ive Svorcina’s amazing art. The whole book looks and feels like classic fantasy art. It has tremendous detail and everything feels just massive and epic. What’s more is that this art is not only intricately detailed, but alive. Unlike so much of the highly detailed, painted styled art Ribic and Svorcina bring each character to life with fantastic poses and wonderful expression. There is just so much going well with this book! This is one of the best hero comics on the market and those who haven’t checked it out yet are doing themselves a disservice.

  1. Better than issue 1! I’m really glad I picked this up. Hard to say, but I think this book looks better with Svorcina doing the colors (and I’m a big Dean White fan). I also liked how the cover matched up with #1 to make a really cool collage of the storyline. Thor has officially been added to the pull list.
