I am incredibly underwhelmed by this issue. This was the worst art this series has seen since it restarted and there were so many bad cliches by JMS that I could hardly finish this issue.

Starting with the art, the characters were flat and the actions seemed like something a kid in jr high would plot out.

I absolutely hated the scene where the hammer got fixed. In the hands of a better artist, putting Thor in the hammer would have been impressive and been a defining moment for the run. Instead it just seemed like an after thought and looked god awful.

And was Loki permanently changed back to a  man in issue 600? I thought it was just temporary.

 As for the story, I like JMS, but there was absolutely no sense of urgency to save Sif. It was blatantly obvious that she was going to be saved at the last possible moment, and since the old lady was a space filler, she was as good as dead anyway.

The thing I liked was the human talking to Balder, but even he seemed like Johnny narrative. He's just filling in things that the characters should know anyway.

And the scene with the 3 dick Asgardians seemed incredibly cliche.
