The art and writing come together perfectly in this book. The color palette captured the mood of the time period. It felt as if watching an old documentary. After reading this I realized what is missing in current superhero comics is they fail to evoke a sense of wonder. These days most superheroes are shown mainly interacting with other superheroes, they are missing a crucial human perspective that this book captures so well. I mean a Mercedes does not look very special in a ot full of Mercedes but next to a Toyota it really stands out. I had the same feling as when I read Earth-X or Kingdom Come. The characters here seem larger than life, like gods, when seen from a human perspective. I look forward to the next issue.
